About Us – Ask GoTo Ltd
What began in 2010 as a small Facebook group and blog for new mums in Milton Keynes has since grown into Ask GoTo Ltd, a dynamic company that supports communities and businesses across multiple platforms.
Founder Samantha Poole was a new mum living in a new area, and she was struggling to find activities and services, so she decided to start building a community for new mums in Milton Keynes.
Our Journey
2010 – Launched as a supportive Facebook group where mums could share ideas, offers, and recommendations.
As local businesses asked to advertise, we introduced a charity donation model that raised over £8,500 for The Henry Allen Trust in just 3 years.
2017 - Launched the website and online business directory.
2018 – Expanded with networking events and the launch of Mum to Mum Magazine, a local print publication.
While successful, we realised our branding limited our audience—men and non-parents often walked past our stand at expos.
2020 - Annabel and Fraz joined the team to ensure our networking events and magazine run smoothly, and we all look forward to the future of Ask GoTo.
Our Rebrand
During the COVID years, we made the brave decision to rebrand as Ask GoTo:
Inspired by our growing directory of trusted experts, and our community’s catchphrase: “Don’t ask Facebook—Ask GoTo!”
Now, we’re a modern mix of Yellow Pages and Checkatrade, covering over 250 business categories.

Looking ahead
We are now growing into Bedford, Aylesbury, and Northampton, with plans to expand further. Our goal is to refine and scale our “business in a box” model, empowering local businesses and communities wherever we go.
