Aim High provides Alternative Education Provision (AEP) for young people aged 14–25 (with an Education and Health care Plan (EHCP)) who need a different approach to learning. We offer a supportive, practical environment where learners can gain qualifications, develop life skills, and build confidence for their future. Aim High works in specialist settings, including equestrian centres and other animal and country-based learning environments. Our programmes are designed to help students who may not thrive in traditional classrooms to achieve their potential. Currently, our courses are delivered at the Ride High Equestrian Centre in Milton Keynes, with all profits supporting the work of the Ride High children’s charity. Our Alternative Education Provision is primarily for children and young people who, because of exclusion, illness, or other reasons such as SEND or SEMH, would not otherwise receive suitable education. We support learners who: Have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) Struggle in traditional academic settings Require support for Special Educational Needs (SEND) Need help with social, emotional or mental health (SEMH) challenges May experience school phobia, trauma, or medical needs The courses are delivered in partnership with Haddon Training, who can also provide Functional Skills (Maths and English)training for students if required. We welcome referrals from schools, Local Authorities, parents and carers.
